Causes Diagnosis Management
 
  • Reduction
  • Alignment must be complete for adult fracture, but in the child, this is not very important
  • Immobilization at 90o flexion of elbow.
  • Upper shaft fractures should be placed in full supination
  • Lower 2/3 shaft fractures should be immobilized in midpronation
  • Full circumference plaster covering elbow and wrist joints only.
  • Internal fixation  after surgical exposure of midshaft of ulna, if the closed method fails.
