Causes/features Diagnosis Management
  • Stable fractures of the shaft of tibia are either with displacement or without displacement.
  • They may or may not involve the fibula
  UNDISPLACED

DISPLACED

  • Reduce under general anesthesia
  • Immobilize in above the knee plaster with knee in 15-20o flexion for 2 weeks
  • Replace with above or below the knee plaster for another 10-12 weeks
