Causes Diagnosis Management
  • Fall from height in standing position can cause vertical compression of ankle. It affects the ankle joint.
  • Forced dorsiflexion as in car accidents.
 

 

 

  • Reduction
  • Full plaster to be applied below the knee.
  • Young patient should have internal fixation after surgical exposure, while elderly ones should manage conservatively
