Causes Diagnosis Management
  • Uncommon
  • May be caused by fall on outstretched hand.
  • May be accelerated by valgus strain.
  • Leads to rupture of ulnar collateral ligament.
  • This may also include the common flexor origin on the medial epicondyle of humerus.
  • The ligament has three bands. One may be ruptured while the remaining are intact.
  • History
  • Palpation
  • Shoulder sling for 2-3 weeks.
  • Surgical repair after exposure of ulnar collateral ligament.
