Hydrocephalus

 

 

Obstruction to the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leads to enlargement of ventricles and increase in CSF. It is divided into two types

bullet

Non-communicating hydrocephalus in which obstruction occurs in the ventricular system either at the cerebral aqueduct or at foramina of Monro

bullet

Communicating hydrocephalus. Obstruction occurs at the subarachnoid space.
