Acute glomerulonephritis

 

Acute proliferative glomerulonephritis is actually an acute nephritic syndrome with hematuria, red blood cell casts, proteinuria with edema. It occurs  between 1-4 weeks after a streptoccocal infection of the group A β- hemolytic variety.
