Pentalogy of Cantrell

 

This is a congenital anomaly with five features; one added to the four for tetralogy of Fallot

  • Pulmonary stenosis

  • Ventricular septal defect

  • Overriding aorta

  • Right ventricular hypertrophy

Patent foramen ovale or atrial septal defect is the fifth feature. It is a cyanotic heart disease and therefore has right-to-left shunt from the time of birth.
