Lie

 

This is situation adopted by the fetus in the uterus. It is usually established before birth but may sometimes change  before or during labour. There are three types

Longitudinal lie

bullet

Transverse lie

bullet

Oblique lie.

 

The first is the normal . The two others may cause complications of labour.
