Fungal  pneumonia

 

Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia is a common fungal pneumonia in immunocompromised individuals. Other fungal infections such as histoplasmosis is caused by Histoplasma capsulatum, coccidioidomycosis caused by Coccidioides immitis, blastomycosis caused by Blastomyces dermatitidis and cryptococcosis caused by Cryptococcus neoformans.
