Delivery

Delivery of a baby is normal at term which is between 37-41 weeks of gestation. It is spontaneous in most cases, triggered off by frequent and strong uterine contractions, which push the baby's head along the curve of Carus to the perineum. Following the delivery of the baby, the placenta is also removed.
