Procaryote

Animal cells with no definite nuclear membrane, e.g. bacteria etc.

Procaryotes are at the lowest level of sophistication of all living organisms and have no nuclear envelope while eucaryotes have a nuclear envelope which surrounds the nucleus. Eucaryotic cells are larger than prokaryotic ones and they have internal membrane system consisting of organelles and cytoskeleton which includes microfilaments, microtubules, intermediate filaments and the linear shaped bundles of DNA called chromosomes which procaryotes do not have.
