Body temperature

 

Core temperature of the body can be influenced by several factors as follows

Temperter ncreain mechanisms

  • Skin vasoconstriction

  • Piloerection

  • Increase thermogenesis which is increase in production of heat

 

Temperature reducing mechanisms

  • Skin vasodilatation

  • Sweating

  • Decrease thermogenesis

 

The hypothalamus also has important function in reducing or increasing core body temperature.
