Pharmacology of vagina

The main function which drugs can influence in the vagina would be vaginal secretion which may have been blocked by anxiety and other female sexual dysfunctions.

The drugs available are as follows

PDE5 inhibitor
This can be useful if it helps female sexual dysfunction by its effect on clitoral erection.  Sidenafil (viagra) is a highly selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5. It inhibits the actions of isoenzymes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of phosphodiestereases which terminate the action of cGMP in the clitoris. With the clitoris thus stimulated, its effect will be to increase the secretion of fluid in the vagina.
