Histopharmacology of trachea

 

Although drugs are applied directly on the respiratory tract via aerosol and powder sprays, the effect on the trachea may be less than those on the bronchi where they are most needed. Particles in the drugs which are 5 m in diameter tend to stay on upper tract while many which are very small are exhaled.
