Vasculitides are inflammatory immune conditions with necrosis which affect the arteries. They include temporal arteritis affecting superficial temporal artery and also polyarteritis nodosa. Others are Kawasaki disease and those which affect smaller arteries such as Wegener granulomatosis, Churg Strauss  syndrome and microscopic polyangitis.
