Inspection  schedule:
Workpage on inspection

Inspection is a special way by which doctors pick very obvious clinical signs. It is possible to see the left chest rising more than the right during quiet respiration and this may be all that would clinch a diagnosis of atelectasis. Also precordial movement, thrill, parasternal heave, etc can be picked by good inspection suggestive of cardiomegaly and of course skin lesions missed at general examination.

Inspect the respiration of your fellow student. Determine whether the two sides of the chest move in unison. Place your palm on the chest and ask the subject to say 99. Feel the resonance on your palm.
