Clinical examination of ureter and kidneys

Diseases which affect the glomerular apparatus is the most common affection of the kidneys. They may be acute nephritic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome and renal failure. Most diseases of the glomerulus has immune basis.

Other conditions may affect the connective tissue such as amyloidosis of kidney in which there is increase secretion of abnormal fibrillar proteins or a reduction in their catabolism. It also has an immune basis.
