Coarse crepitations

Clicking sounds which arise from large airways such as bronchi and bronchioles and cavities. They are caused by inflammation of the lungs containing fluid in airways and cavities, as in bronchitis. When they are found in lung bases they usually point to bronchiectasis or fibrosing alveolitis.
