Aspergillus spp

Aspergillus flavus produces aflatoxin which is both a toxin and carcinogen combined and contaminates nuts and foods. Aspergillus fumigatus and A clavatus can case allergic disease. They cause aspergillosis whose clinical features include cough, fever, chest pain or breathlessness. It is found in immunocompromised patients as in cancer, transplantation and HIV infection.
