Definition:
A measure of hemolysis or break down of red cells in the blood. Haptoglobin
binds to released hemoglobin thereby reducing the level of free haptoglobin
in blood. Method: Normal value: 100-300 mg/100ml Abnormality : High in hemolytic anemias. |
