Zinc deficiency from malabsorption

Zinc deficiency results in hair loss in sever cases, but hair persists in mild cases of malabsorption syndrome, with diarrhea, impotence, eye and skin lesions in addition to immune function impairment, cell growth problems and problems of taste and smell sensations.
