Erythema marginatum

Erythema is rednesss of the skin or mucous membrane. Erythma marginatum forms a pink ring on the torso and inner surface of the limbs. Bradykinin has been implicated as the cause of this. Erythema marginatum occurs in rheumatic fever. It may be associated with mild myocarditis and also may be seen in allergic drug reactions, glumerulonephritis and sepsis. It is also seen before an attack of hereditary angioedema.
