Allergic dermatitis

This is called allergic contact dermatitis. It is caused by chemical agents which make contact with skin and therefore excite an antigen specific immune response. It may be either irritant contact dermatitis, in which case it is not real antigen response and the best example is acid and alkali burns. It may also be allergic contact dermatitis in which delayed hypersensitivity reaction has been implicated. Its lesions may be either wet or dry. Hand contact dermatitis is the most common
