Differential diagnosis:
Parathyroid gland can be easily confused with liver but liver has plates and not cords and the liver is provided with hepatic and portal lobules which are characteristic.

a. Tissue is compact (e.g. liver)
b. It consists of glandular tissue judging from rich parenchyma with minimal spaces.
c. It contains cord arrangement of cells with medium spaces.
