Differential diagnosis:
This could be confused with parathyroid gland but liver has plates and no cords. The liver is provided with hepatic and portal lobules which are characteristic.

Diagnostic Features:
a. Tissue is compact (e.g. liver)
b. It consists of glandular tissue judging from rich parenchyma with minimal spaces.
c. It contains plate arrangement of hepatocytes to resemble the wheel spoke of bicycle, this is characteristic.
d. The hepatic lobule is polygonal in shape.
