Renal glycosuria

In this condition there is renal excretion of sugar (glucose) without concomitant hyperglycaemia and there is little fluctuation in concentration with diet. In this condition also the glucose tolerance test is normal, suggesting that pancreatic (β islet cell physiology) is not abnormal. It is inherited as simple Mendelian trait.
