Development of musculoskeletal system

Bone ossification video

The musculoskeletal system develops form mesodern, which may be mesenchyme derived from secondary mesoderm in various tissues. In the case of skeleton ossification centers appear  while the muscles may be derived from lateral plate mesoderm or in situ differentiation of mesenchyme and finally through myotomes for segmentally derived trunk musculature.
