RIGHT OVARIAN VEIN (Right gonadal vein)

 

ORIGIN: Ovarian plexus


COURSE/DRAINAGE
: This vein is formed by the right ovarian plexus in the right broad ligament. It then ascends with the right ovarian artery, crossing the left external iliac vessels to run on the left psoas major and left ureter. It finally empties into the right side of the inferior vena cava at about the level inferior to the renal veins.
