LEFT OVARIAN VEIN (Left gonadal vein)

 

ORIGIN: Ovarian plexus


COURSE/DRAINAGE
: This vein is formed by the left ovarian plexus in the left broad ligament. It then ascends with the ovarian artery, crossing the left external iliac vessels to run on the left psoas major and left ureter. It finally empties into the left renal vein at right angle after passing behind the left colic vessels, as a single vein.
