ORIGIN: Veins in the greater sciatic foramen


COURSE/DRAINAGE
: Veins of the greater sciatic foramen form the internal iliac veins on both sides. It (they) then ascends posteromedial to the internal iliac artery to join the external iliac vein at the pelvic brim where they become the common iliac vein.
