DEEP DORSAL VEIN OF CLITORIS

ORIGIN: Deep veins in corpora cavernosa

COURSE/DRAINAGE
: The vein begins at the prepuce and it drains that structure and the skin of the clitoris in order to approach the root of clitoris on the deeper plane within the fibrous sheath of the clitoris. It runs to the root of clitoris where it escapes between the arcuate ligament and the inferior fascia of urogenital diaphragm. It then breaks into left and right divisions, which enter the vaginal plexus after their contributions to the internal pudendal veins. They drain the corpora cavernosa and the glans clitoridis.
