Perineum 

 

 

A region of the body which extends from superior fascia of urogenital diaphragm just below the pelvic floor (levator ani) to Colles fascia of perineum. It can also be described as space between the upper part of the thighs and its bony margins coincide with those of the pelvic outlet. It contains the external genitalia.

 

It can be further divided into

BONES: Pelvis

Muscle

Arteries: Inferior rectal artery, internal pudendal artery

Veins: Inferior rectal vein, internal pudendal vein

Nerves: Pudendal nerveparasympathetic nerves and sympathetic nerves

Others-organs: Bartholin's gland, paraurethral ducts, greater vestibular gland, bulbourethral glands, external genitalia, bulb of penis or clitoris, crus of penis or clitoris, central perineal tendon.
