Mid clavicular line

 

Plane which passes through the mid section of the clavicle. Medial to it is the apex beat at the left 5th intercostal space.

When extended downwards it passes at the lateral aspect of the rectus sheath or rectus abdominis to become the lateral line which divides the anterior abdominal wall into regions.
