Mesosalpinx

The fallopian tube interconnects the ovary with the uterus. At the ovarian side it is provided with finger like projections called fimbriae. One particular fimbria is attached to the ovary and it is called fimbria ovarica.

It is attached to the uterus at the uterotubal junction. It is attached to the broad ligament by the mesosalpinx in which runs the blood vessels which supply it and the ovary and uterus.
