The region of the body which extends from the ankle to the distal ends of the toes. Its dorsal aspect is called dorsum of foot, while its vental part is the sole. It has the following contents

	Sole: Abductor hallucis Flexor hallucis brevis Abductor digiti minimi Flexor digiti minimi (brevis) Flexor digitorum brevis Adductor hallucis Lumbricals  Dorsal interossei Plantar interossei Flexor accessorius.

Arteries: Dorsalis pedis, Lateral plantar artery, Medial plantar artery

Veins: Lateral plantar vein, Medial plantar vein

Nerves: Medial plantar nerve, lateral plantar nerve.

Others: Superior extensor retinaculum, inferior extensor retinaculum, flexor retinaculum, superior peroneal retinaculum, inferior peroneal retinacula, plantar aponeurosis.
