Introduction to anus

 

This structure begins from the rectum and extends to the skin. it forms an angulation at its junction with the rectum which assists the process of defecation. Anus is about 3 cm long and has two parts; an internal endodermally derived or cloacal part and the lower ectodermal anal-pit part.
