ASCENDING LUMBAR LYMPH TRUNKS

 

ORIGIN: Upper lateral aortic nodes

COURSE/DRAINAGE: These are formed on the right and left and they ascend to pierce their corresponding diaphragmatic crura  to join the thoracic duct in the posterior mediastinum at variable points in the mediastinum.

Lymphatic vessels from upper lateral aortic nodes.
