CORACOCLAVICULAR  LIGAMENT

There are two: Trapezoid ligament.
Conoid ligament

 

PROXIMAL ATTACHMENT:

Trapezoid ligament –Inferior surface of coracoid process of scapula.

Conoid ligament  -Root of coracoid process (apex).

 

DISTAL ATTACHMENT: Upper surface of acromion.

Trapezoid ligament- Trapezoid line in the subclavian groove of clavicle.

Conoid ligament-  Conoid tubercle at the subclavian groove at placed undersurface of clavicle (base).

 

FUNCTION: Prevents the clavicle from being detached from the scapula (acromion).

 

JOINT:  Acromioclavicular joint.
