ULNAR COLLATERAL LIGAMENT

 

 

PROXIMAL ATTACHMENT: Anterior part: Front of medial epicondyle of humerus. Posterior part: Lower part and back of medial epicondyle of humerus. Lower part of lateral epicondyle of humerus. Oblique part: coronoid process of ulna.

 

DISTAL ATTACHMENT: Anterior part: coronoid process

Posterior part: medial margin of olecranon. Oblique part: olecranon.

FUNCTION: Prevents the outward dislocation of the ulna from the elbow joint.

 

JOINT: Elbow joint.


1 olecranon 2 posterior band 3 oblique band 4 anterior band: all of ulnar collateral ligament.
