DESCRIPTION: The articular surfaces of these joints are as follows

         Metatarsal I (concave base) and medial cuneiform bone (anterior surface)

         Metatarsal II (concave base and medial and lateral sides of the base) and medial cuneiform (upper lateral aspect),intermediate cuneiform (anterior aspect) and lateral cuneiform bone(upper medial aspect).

         Metatarsal  III (concave base) and lateral cuneiform bone (anterior surface).

         Metatarsal IV (concave base) and  lateral cuneiform bone (upper lateral aspect) and cuboid (anterior surface).

         Metatarsal  V (concave base) with cuboid (anterior lateral surface).
