SUPERIOR VESICAL ARTERY

 

 

ORIGIN: Anterior division of internal iliac artery.

 

 

COURSE/DISTRIBUTION: The most superior of all arteries that arise from the anterior division of the internal iliac artery. It provides several branches to the superior aspect of the urinary bladder. Its first part is the proximal patent part of the embryological umbilical artery.

 

BRANCHES:

  • Artery of the vas deferens.
  • Cystic branches to the superior aspect of bladder.
