The zygomatic bone (paired) forms the prominence of the cheek. It takes part in the formation of the following parts of the skull

It has an internal and external surfaces and has the following processes

        Maxillary process which articulates with the zygomatic process of maxilla

        The frontal process which passes upwards to articulate with the zygomatic process of frontal bone

        The temporal process  which articulates with the zygomatic process of temporal bone or zygoma to form the zygomatic arch
