Lumbar part: From medial (fascia on psoas major)and lateral arcuate (fascia on quadratus lumborum)ligaments

Lumbar part: By left and right crus and arches from L1,2 and 3

 

INSERTION:  Central tendon and median arcuate ligament (crura)

Holes in diaphragm

ACTION:  Depressor of costal cartilages

BLOOD: Musculophrenic, pericardiacophrenic artery pericardiacophrenic, superior and inferior phrenic arteries. 

NERVE:  Left and right phrenic nerves
