INSERTION:  Medial border of scapula, at the costal surface running from superior to inferior angles.

ARTERY: Shoulder anastomoses

ACTION:  Protractor, abductor and rotator of scapula

 Paralysis leads to winged scapula

NERVE:  Long thoracic nerve
