ORIGIN:  Long head: From infraglenoid tubercle of scapula

Lateral Head: From posterior and lateral surface of humerus

Medial Head: From the lower part of posterior surface of humerus

 

INSERTION:  Olecranon of ulna directly and by the aponeurosis of the triceps ('tricipital aponeurosis')

 

ACTION:  Extensor of forearm through action on ulna

ARTERY: Profunda brachii  

NERVE:  Radial nerve
