Pubis

This has a body is placed in front which articulates with the body of the opposite side at the symphysis pubis.

The body has two processes- They are as follows

Superior ramus carries the pubic crest which is provided with a lateral prominence known as the pubic tubercle. It also has a pectineal line which is formed at the so called pecten pubis. The pecten pubis of the superior ramus articulates with the ilium at the iliopubic eminence.

Inferior ramus  provides the pillars for the pubic arch and together with the opposite side forms the subpubic angle of the pelvis. It joins the ischial ramus inferior and together they form the ischiopubic ramus which provides attachments for the adductor magnus.
